Education scholarship program

From the beginning of the year 2022, Nuwakot America Liaison Committee, America (NALCA) decided to contribute to the education sector by launching a program named “Shiksha-Diksha project,” where students in 19 schools from different regions of the district benefitted from the scholarships contributed by our members (Table 1). In this project, the donors would decide the name of the scholarship themselves in their certain memories and could provide the scholarship at the school of their choice. Along with scholarship distribution, we also assisted Sahid Prakash Jung Shah Sanskrit School Devighat, and Hembateshwor Gurukul School, Tadi in maintaining their expenses for the hostel and residents.

The educational scholarship contribution program has been continued in 2023-2024 and is still in progress in sending them to different schools in the Nuwakot district.
